It was just one of those days…
One of those magical days where you almost felt transported into another time and another place. A day where romance filled the air, where stars aligned and where Melanie and David said “I Do.”
It had been raining all morning and to be honest, we were a little concerned it wasn’t going to let up. Not too concerned however, as we had the elegant Eglinton Grand as the setting for the wedding of David and Melanie. The Eglinton Grand, located in downtown Toronto, is a wonderfully restored 1930′s movie theater, filled with the original art deco design including exquisite period furniture and beautiful mahogony and ebony wood flooring. Our bride and groom gave the marquee a personalized touch by hanging a 1950′s style movie poster of the two of them titled Gentlemen Marry Brunettes …
Melanie and David have a very definite style that was evident in every brilliant detail of the day. Melanie wore a stunning, strapless A-line gown, a string of white pearls around her neck and a bird cage veil which complimented her natural beauty and grace, tremendously. Along with David’s classic good looks and boyish charm, this couple was just so much fun to work with!
The rain cleared up just as Melanie was to walk down the aisle. If that wasn’t a sign of the good luck, great times and well wishes to come, than I don’t know what is. After the exchange of vows, friends and family of the couple feasted on homemade sweets and celebrated with hours of traditional dancing. During the reception, we played a fantastic video of some of the images we had captured throughout the day, which had the crowd going crazy. You can see some of the images from this amazing wedding here.
Melanie and David, thank you so much for including us in your special day! Truly - one of the most warm and friendly couples we’ve ever met.
