For a moment, the world stood still. There were no sirens blaring, no calls coming in or going out. It was just Leigh & Jesse and a Kinder Surprise Egg. Ok, yes, this does deserve a little more explanation!
Leigh and Jesse met on a work related boat cruise. Jesse is a police officer and Leigh, a dispatcher. And when they were least expecting it - on a night unlike every other - when the chaos of their days seemed at bay, Jesse and Leigh found one another.
It was a surprise for both Leigh and Jesse, to have found their partner, their confidant and their best friend at a work function. But surprises seem to be something they’re particularly fond of. Especially so, given the fact that Jesse hid his engagement ring for Leigh – a symbol of his love and commitment – inside a Kinder Surprise chocolate-coated Easter egg. Ahh, Love.
There is something so genuinely magical and unique about Leigh & Jesse. At the time, we couldn’t explain it, but looking back on these pictures now, we realize – Leigh & Jesse are simply and completely, in love. And it is an absolutely captivating moment to be able to witness, let alone capture in these images. You can see it in their eyes, in their smiles, in their serenity. And honestly, you just can’t help but want to be around these two.
Leigh looked absolutely magnificent with her beautiful blonde curls swept over to the side – a perfect combination for her princess-cut gown made of duponi silk and just a slight touch of lace embellishment on the bodice. She paired the stunning gown with a white feathered and crystal head-piece, drop-pearl earrings and a floating pearl necklace.
Her bridesmaids all wore teal, knee-length dresses with sparkling silver heels which made for some very vibrant images that we just had a blast shooting.
Jesse arrived to the wedding ceremony aboard a Toronto Police Marine Unit boat escorted by his fellow groomsmen all wearing matching teal neck ties. He was delivered to the doors of the Atlantis in downtown Toronto, where his beautiful bride Leigh was eagerly awaiting his arrival.
We had so much fun capturing this precious day for Leigh and Jesse and we are reliving all of the beautiful moments as we look back through these images. Leigh & Jesse – Congratulations again. We are so happy for you both!
