A Royal Affair

Theirs was a story of fate across the universe, a connection over international waters. Mary is an old-fashioned Irish beauty with light eyes and alabaster skin. She is a doctor who works in pediatrics. Gordon is a lawyer, the kindest looking of the lot, born and raised in the small town of Stayner, Ontario. When we met them, we could tell right away—these were two people who had always believed love was on its way. That it would find them as fast as it could. And it did, in a modern fairytale kind of way.

It was obvious from the beginning that with her slim figure and radiant glow, Mary was due a royal wedding. While her look may be quiet and coy, she’s a beauty so stunning she’s fit for the pages of a magazine. On the day she wed Gordon, she wore a silk appliqué Paloma Blanca gown with a plunging neckline and lace detailed bodice. Cascading curls fell down her back in flow with the careful line of buttons extending down her dress train and to the floor.

Royal red was the color theme of the wedding day. The bridesmaids wore red gowns, the groomsmen - deep red ties, while our bride Mary carried a pop of color in her vibrant red roses. The ceremony was intimate—exclusive—with relatives in from Ireland and friends from the United States, Australia and the Cayman Islands.

The Queen’s Landing Hotel, in Niagara-on-the-lake, provided the perfect castle-like, mote-inspired backdrop for photographing the event. The love of families united was palpable. And yet, for Gordon, the day was ultimately about Mary. In the later evening hours, he led her out to the courtyard where they shared a close dance under the open sky, just before he lifted his bride into the air and twirled her about.

Mary + Gordon, we are so honored to be a part of your day and wish you many majestic days ahead - fitting for a king and a queen such as yourselves. Congratulations again!

Mirranda - Another beautiful wedding, captured pefectly! My favorite is the image of them in the car, they look so happy! If I had to pick a second favorite it would be the set with their hands making the other smile.0, April 18, 2011 - 11:12 am

Juanita - Truly a fairy tale kind of wedding. The photo of the men against the fence shows so many emotions on the groom and his wedding party’s faces. You can see in his eyes that the groom is ready to move on to a wonderful future with his bride and is saying goodbye to his single days. As always a beautiful arrange of photos.0, April 15, 2011 - 11:31 am

Christina - Offering the options to people to discover and experience something new is often the driving force to making it happen. Seeing this wedding happen makes it possible for the young girls to dream dreams and have them come true.0, April 15, 2011 - 7:10 am
