What do you get when you mix tangy BBQ sauce and a bunch of wine?! A blind date, of course! Janine + Kyle (friends of Nina and Holly) were set up at a friendly BBQ by Kyle’s Cupid of a cousin, Michelle. Poor Janine was so nervous about their first date that she brought plenty of soothing wine to calm her nerves! The blind date obviously went well because here we are today looking through their beautiful wedding photos!
We had so much fun shooting the bride and groom preparations because Janine + Kyle are such amazing, down to earth, happy people. Kyle had a great moment in his room when he popped open a little box that held his grandfather’s cufflinks. Capturing those tiny moments of sentiment before the big event is always such a great feeling.
Meanwhile, Janine was in her room with her girls as she slipped into her gorgeous strapless Maggie Sottero gown and awe-inspiring silver Badgley Mishcka heels. She was absolutely stunning as she gathered her bouquet of roses and gave one last twirl for approval.
The ceremony overlooked Lake Ontario and was graced with a deep blue afternoon sky. It was utterly perfect! Guests beamed as the children walked down the petal-laced aisle before the bride made her grand entrance. As soon as she appeared, all eyes were on her. After the vows had been spoken, Kyle grabbed his beautiful wife and planted one of the most spectacular first kisses that we’ve ever seen! It was an amazing moment that translated perfectly to film.
We snuck away for some fun wedding party portraits at the Toronto Hunt Club. While we got some incredibly sweet photos of the newlyweds, it was the group shots that stole the show! The wedding party posed with various old record album covers and with large baroque picture frames for some seriously unique shots. They were such a clever bunch!
The reception at the Toronto Hunt Club was equally fun and impressive. Designing Trendz did a fantastic job with the décor and DJ Hussey from After Dark Entertainment kept everyone on their feet. Guests were treated to a full candy bar and a late night food station with homemade pizza and poutine. As if the night couldn’t get any better, the final touch was the breathtaking full moon reflecting on the lake outside.
It was a truly magical evening. Congratulations, Janine + Kyle!
