Michelle + Ryan are an adventurous couple who have a passion for travel. They spend their time visiting new sites and being “weekend warriors”, as described by Michelle. They try to make the most of their time by spending it outdoors, and after two years of dating they found themselves in Paris. Known for being the city of love, it was the perfect place for Ryan to propose. He took Michelle to the Eiffel Tower and swept her off her feet.
Michelle + Ryan live in British Columbia, and Michelle’s family is from Georgetown. This made wedding planning a long distance challenge, and they loved every minute of it! When their wedding day finally arrived, they found themselves at Vineland Estates. They were married on the anniversary of their very first date.
Michelle made for a gorgeous bride. She wore an incredible raw silk Vera Wang gown which was just as down to earth as Michelle herself. Her navy blue Badgley Mischka stilettos were adorned with airy petals and, as a fun fact, Mischka is polish for Michelle (and Michelle is actually Polish!). The groom and his groomsmen looked dashing in their grey suits. It was a breathtaking wedding party.
We had a wonderful time shooting around the glowing winery and carriage house which was built in the 1800’s. We also toured the Ball’s Falls conservation area. The weather was warm for the season and, honestly, we couldn’t have asked for anything better than what we got!
The ceremony was lovely, and the adorable kids carried signs down the aisle announcing the bride and recapping Michelle + Ryan’s love story for all to see. It was a clever touch and the children loved it! Everyone was thrilled that the couple finally found each other and tied the knot.
The reception was filled with 55 guests from all over the country, including northern Ontario and British Columbia who gathered to celebrate the couple’s nuptials. Since they love to travel, they named each of their guest tables after a city that they travelled to while on their Euro trip. Michelle + Ryan sat at the Paris table, of course!
The evening was spent with sweet kisses and toasts to the newlyweds. Congratulations, Michelle + Ryan!
