Time honoured traditions go hand in hand with wedding ceremonies, but it’s a little unique to have an opportunity to wed in the exact same church where your grandparents were married over 50 years ago! Tania + Sean, friends of Holly and Simon, were married at the gorgeous St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church where Tania’s grandparents spoke their vows!
After meeting and falling in love at Western University, Sean knew he wanted to spend the rest of his days with Tania and proposed to her in High Park with a special picnic. It was very sweet and romantic!
Tania had a lovely morning before the ceremony where she had her hair done by Rico of Italy
Sean had a touch of personal sentiment on his wedding day as well. He wore his grandfather’s cufflinks and a handsome watch given to him by Tania’s father. He looked amazing in his custom made tux by Harry Rosen!
The ceremony was truly beautiful, from the church itself to the words that were spoken. The couple looked serene as they were joined together. The bridesmaids, all wearing pretty purple Monique L’Huillier gowns, stood by watching with misty eyes.
Once the ceremony was over, we had the wedding portrait session outside the church. The church, as you can see, was amazing! We took countless classic shots, along with many playful ones that showed off the groomsmen’s wacky socks and personalities.
The reception took place at The Granite Club where guests enjoyed a lovely cocktail hour outdoors before the bride and groom made their grand entrance. Stunning florals were provided by Linden Grove. We all stood by as the newlyweds danced their first dance, thanked their loved ones for joining them and ate delicious food (including to-die-for deserts!).
Congratulations, Tania + Sean!
